Janey Brown

Janey’s background in fitness began with 8 years of training in Shorin-Ryu Karate style Kickboxing. Immediately after achieving her black belt, she became a certified kickboxing instructor and jumped into the Toronto health and fitness industry, where she currently teaches group fitness classes at various clubs around the city. Janey is also a certified yoga instructor and has an extensive background in teaching various styles of athletic yoga, including JOGA (yoga for athletes). Since teaming up with Jana Webb (founder/creator of JOGA program) and becoming a certified JOGA ambassador, Janey has been granted the experience of working with the Toronto Argonauts, has taught JOGA to Olympic athletes and is now a Joga Master Trainer. In addition to her fitness and athletic yoga certifications, Janey is also a certified Naam Yoga instructor and certified Harmonyum practitioner. Naam Yoga merges the precise science of breath, sound, movement, and mudra therapy (hand postures) to improve cardiovascular function and maximize lung capacity, as well as balance the brain, the glandular, digestive, and nervous systems, allowing people to experience vibrant health and happiness. Naam Yoga is unique to Canada, but is becoming a global movement. Harmonyum is an energetic, non-invasive, healing modality that supports the physical, emotional and mental health of every phase of a person’s life. “My goal as a health and fitness professional, is to not only inspire people to create healthier habits for themselves physically, but become balanced mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well.
